MARKETING CHALLENGE
  • Drive attendance to the JDRF’s annual black tie event gala in order to drive donations to fund research to find the cause, and more importantly a cure, for Type I diabetes and its complications.
• Generate awareness of how diabetes can have a life-long altering effect on children and their families.

RESPONSE
  • Featured real-life children with diabetes in order to create an emotional connection.
• Developed a theme/look that was whimsical as well as inspirational.

RESULTS
  • In the last two years, ticket sales have increased 72% with net donations increasing 48%.
• Since 1970, JDRF nationally has awarded more than $1.16 billion to diabetes research.
